House removals in Tonbridge

From a first flat near the High Street to a Victorian villa or a family home in the grammar-school catchment, a home move deserves a plan built around the property. Here’s how we run one — and how the standard and full-care levels differ.

The standard move

Our standard move is the careful basics done properly. A trained crew arrives, protects the floors and doorways, blankets and wraps the furniture, and loads to a plan so nothing shifts in transit. Everything is checked against a full inventory at both ends. You pack your own boxes; we do the careful carrying, the awkward staircases and the reassembly. It’s the right choice when you’re happy to pack but want the heavy, breakable and valuable things in safe hands.

The full-care move

A full-care move is the whole day handled. We bring the materials and pack the house — the kitchen, the glassware, the wardrobes, the lot — dismantle what needs it, move it all, and rebuild at the other end. It’s the calmest way to move, and it suits busy families, downsizers, and anyone with a period home full of things they’d rather not pack themselves. Every box is labelled by room and listed, so unpacking is orderly rather than chaos.

What’s included

  • A proper survey — video walk-round or a visit — and an itemised written quote
  • A full inventory, labelled by room
  • Protection for floors, doorways and communal areas
  • Dismantling and reassembly of beds, wardrobes and flat-pack
  • Optional full or part packing (the full-care level)
  • Goods-in-transit and public liability cover throughout

Something delicate or valuable? Our fragile & antiques service gives period-home contents specialist care, and if the dates don’t line up, storage folds into the same plan.

House removals — common questions

What’s included in a standard move?

A trained crew, the right-sized van, and everything wrapped and protected — floors and doorways covered, furniture blanketed, and a full inventory so nothing goes astray. You handle your own packing; we handle the careful carrying, loading and reassembly.

And a full-care move?

Everything in a standard move, plus the packing, the dismantling and the rebuilding. We pack the whole house with proper materials, take apart what needs it, move it, and put it all back together at the other end — so you barely lift a box.

Will you dismantle and rebuild furniture?

Yes — beds, wardrobes and flat-pack that won’t take the stairs come apart and go back together where they’re going. Tonbridge’s period homes throw up plenty of pieces that won’t turn a tight landing, and we plan those at the survey.

What if my new place isn’t ready the same day?

It happens in a chain. We can hold your things in secure storage and deliver when the keys come through, so you’re not forced into a same-day move that doesn’t suit you.
